About Us

Welcome to Sandy Kakes, your go-to bakery in Wisconsin Dells, crafting fresh, made-to-order treats since 2018. Every dessert is created by Sandy herself, ensuring quality, creativity, and a personal touch in every bite.

Sandy’s love for baking began in 2009 at MATC Milwaukee, where she attended the Baking and Pastry Arts program. From the very first class, she fell in love with the art of cake decorating and the joy of creating something beautiful and delicious. After graduating, she honed her skills working for a local baker in Sun Prairie, WI, gaining invaluable experience and learning the ins and outs of the business.

When an opportunity arose to partner with Great Harvest Bread Company in downtown Wisconsin Dells, Sandy embraced it—and Sandy Kakes was born. Today, she specializes in wedding cakes, custom creations, and an irresistible variety of desserts, including over 20 cake flavors, New York-style cheesecakes, cupcakes, fruit tarts, and chocolate-covered strawberries. Every order is fresh to order and made exclusively by Sandy herself.

She brought our modest cake dream to life perfectly, incorporating our wedding colors in the most stunning way, from a soft lavender at the base to a deep lavender at the top. The flavors were just as amazing as the design. The top tier was vanilla with raspberry filling, and the bottom tier was chocolate with raspberry. It was absolutely delicious and loved by everyone! We enjoyed it so much that we completely forgot to save a slice for our anniversary! Sandy was kind, professional, and incredibly talented.
